Static inline mixers are a series of geometric mixing elements fixed within a pipe, which use the energy of the flow stream to create mixing between two or more fluids.

Static mixers create an even mix of product in-line.

Throughout the years Koflo has optimized the design of their static mixers to achieve the greatest amount of mixing with the lowest pressure loss possible. Whether your application involves low viscosity fluids, high viscosity fluids, fibrous materials (municipal wastewater to the effluent of meat processing plants), or just the need for a quick flash blend, Koflo have a static mixer design available to optimize the blending process.

Blade Design Static Mixers

Koflos blade design static mixers were designed primarily for low to medium viscosity applications. The unique counter rotating high velocity spin cycles increase the number of fluid divisions as the flow velocity increases, making this the most versatile static mixer on the market.

Helical Design Static Mixers

Helical design static mixers have two fluid divisions per element, almost regardless of fluid viscosity or velocity. These static mixers are used primarily for high viscosity blending or the folding of two or more ingredients.

Sanitary Design Mixers

With series 330 mixer, AISI 316 stainless steel is used throughout the build in six or twelve element configuration. All internal surfaces are polished to a #4 sanitary finish and furbished as standard with tri clamp end connections. 3/4" - 4" sizes are available. Customisations are available upon request (See image to right - with customised connections).

Wafer Style Mixers

These units are designed for applications where length is critical, or for mixing light viscosity chemicals into a water stream with a very high velocity. Although these are good for a limited amount of applications, a static mixer should still be used if adequate room and headloss permits.

Custom built units can be produced to suit set requirements and fittings.

Biodiesel Static Mixers

Koflo biodiesel static inline mixers utilize the Koflo standard series 275 static mixer design for the transesterification of oil and methanol in a closed loop biodiesel unit. With flowrates and pressure losses optimized for the biodiesel industry, each static mixer is constructed of schedule 40 304 stainless steel with 6 mixing elements and male NPT threaded ends. All sizes are in stock for immediate delivery. Custom sized and larger static mixers are available for high production continuous flow biodiesel production systems.
